Hibahihi approached us to design their yakitori restaurant on Plaza St-Hubert, bringing a contemporary take to a traditional Japanese grilling experience. Designed in collaboration with David Schmidt, the 40-seat space is organized around an open kitchen, placing craft at its center. Finkel’ led the interior design and custom furniture fabrication, using traditional Japanese joinery throughout. Even the sound system reflects this approach, with mycelium speakers by MycoAudio. The identity by Tux completes the experience.
