Empire approached us to design their largest store to date, spanning three floors and over 25,000 square feet — the biggest skate shop in North America. The main challenge was to make such a vast space feel cozy and inviting, a place where customers could browse for hours without ever feeling like they were in a shopping mall. The new flagship also features a café in collaboration with chef Laurent Dagenais, blending community, lifestyle, and gastronomy under one roof. The design is warm and comfortable while remaining modern, with subtle mid-century influences throughout.
